Mathilde has been passionate about dogs and the great outdoors since a young age.

“In my childhood, reading Jack London's novels and Nicolas Vanier's expeditions aroused my curiosity about dog teaming. I discovered dog sledding during a stay at a summer camp in the Pyrenees, at the age of 15. It was also the discovery of a passion and a vocation. I continued my studies in the fields of forest management and planning. My beginning of professional life fluctuated between forestry jobs and professional experiences in the dog world and more particularly the sled dog. During the winter of 2017-2018, I volunteered for 4 months for a small structure that offers dog sled raids in Finland. The experience clicked. A few months later, my first dog came into my life, and a year and a half later I began my professional retraining. 
I completed my training to become a professional musher spread over two years. Between my two training sessions, I went to meet several pro mushers in France. My path took me to Ariège, a favorite territory for many years, where I met Iliès and his little pack, recently installed. I fell in love with these mountains and with the musher of Terre Sauvage, with whom we now share this beautiful life project. "
